Baseline explores the intertwined nature of cognitive processes related to perception and understanding. Our cognitive processes encompass a dynamic interplay between drawing inferences from present perceptions and making predictions about the future based on past learning. The generative frames are developed by feeding artifacts of my photographs, sketches and paintings into a custom stable diffusion workflow and output as random sequences of frames that then programmatically get stitched together. Paper creases, compositional ruptures and tumble dried aesthetics surface across ambient color fields letting your mind retrospectively and prospectively find emerging visual patterns.
